Work continues at church putting the finishing touches to the new building - constructing a large shed at the back of the church to house all our props and scenery and putting up pictures, shelves, desks etc. We hope to have this work finished by Sunday 8 October in time for an Opening Ceremony, lead by the president of the Methodist Youth Conference. We would be honoured to see anyone who has contributed to the project at this event. At 6,15pm there will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting, followed at 6,30pm with a special service. This will be followed by a delicious buffet tea!
The building will be open throughout the day from 11am for anyone to come and look round - complimentary refreshments will be available!! We really hope you will be able to call in and see how the church has changed.
Even though the new building is complete we are not resting - our attention now turns to phase 2, adapting the main church into a multi-purpose worship and performance space. Please watch this space for further details!
