Bladon Village Hall was demolished many years ago and it is extremely unlikely there will be a replacement in the foreseeable future. The new Methodist Church will complement the existing Church Room and provide a building for community events and local groups to meet when more space is required.
Internal work is extremely advances and work has now started externally at the front and rear of the building
Bladon Methodist Church had not seen any development for over 100 years and the premises were woefully inadequate for the needs of the church and the village today. The church was in desperate need of renovation and had reached a dangerous condition where the Junior Church could no longer continue.
Work has now started to redevelop and enlarge the building to bring it in to the 21st century to provide the facilities and space to allow the Junior Church to continue and to provide a new community facility for the village.
A New Church
The project will provide the space and facilities we need for the fifty plus children and young adults that attend Junior Church. It will also allow us to develop new initiatives to help develop our links to the wider community.
